Esben Lunde Larsen has joined the Pandemic Fund as Senior One Health Specialist. Prior to this, he worked on AMR and One Health issues in the World Bank’s Agriculture and Food global practice, and before that, at the World Resources Institute.
Esben’s work has focused on addressing policy regulations, increasing government engagement, driving innovation, and cultivating awareness around AMR and One Health, including in low- and middle-income countries.
Esben is a former Member of the Danish Parliament, a former Minister for Science and Higher Education, and a former Minister for Environment, Agriculture and Food in the Danish Government, where he was heavily engaged in the agenda on AMR and One Health both in the Kingdom of Denmark and the European Union.
He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen.
