Fatoumata joined the Pandemic Fund Secretariat as a World Bank Group Young Professional and works across the Board Operations and Portfolio Management workstreams. She is also in charge of writing project success stories collaborating with the communication and monitoring & evaluation teams.

She is a Medical Doctor, trained at the Abdou Moumouni University of Niamey, Niger. She holds a Master of Public health & Certificate in Health Finance & Management from Johns Hopkins University, as a Fulbright & Sommer scholar. She also holds a Public Management Certificate from Georgia State University, as a Mandela Washington Fellow, and a Bsc in Communication. 

In her most recent role at Johns Hopkins Medicine, Fatoumata was a Research Program Manager on Sub-Saharan Africa studies and capacity-building projects for collaborators across Middle East, USA and Africa. At Cooperazione Internazionale she implemented a primary healthcare project for crisis-affected communities using the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM), and humanitarian negotiations with diverse stakeholders. Additionally, Fatoumata has held consultant roles for local, international organizations such as UNICEF Niger, but also research institutions in West Africa and USA.

 From serving the Niger Chapter of Women Leaders in Global Health, to leading the African Public Health Network at Johns Hopkins and founding several youth and women empowerment initiatives, her volunteer advocacy, leadership and contributions to writing and social development span over a decade earning her 14 awards and distinctions. 

Fatoumata is also an author and has contributed to two anthologies (2015, 2017) and different research topics.
